Shattered Reflection by Madisyn Carlin!

Absolutely BEAUTIFUL, am I right?!! 😀 ❤ And here’s the blurb…

The Official Blurb:

Can hope be found for four shattered souls?

Princess Nordica Icerri’s crown will be purchased with blood—her blood. Now the sole heir to the throne, she is determined to be the queen the Snowlands deserve, but that comes with a price: a numbed heart and soul. Only when she meets kidnapped physician Loren Alocer does Nordica allow herself to hope she can become queen without completely losing herself. But not everyone wants what’s best for the Snowlands, and Nordica’s upcoming rule is compromised at every turn. Can the criminal physician—and his faith—thaw Nordica’s heart, or is she destined to be the heartless queen she is being forced to become?

War shattered not only Breac Finson’s heart, but his faith as well. Tired of fighting, Breac only wants to be left alone, but his efforts are for naught when a friend calls in a favor. He soon finds himself in an unexpected alliance with Layree Alocer, a woman determined to find her wrongfully-kidnapped brother at all costs. Can a broken soldier help right a wrong—and find his faith again in the process?

Sides must be chosen and loyalties will be tested as a new war approaches. Can broken lives be mended in time to help save the Snowlands, or is evil already too deeply embedded?

😭 Doesn’t that sound soooo intriguing??!! I cannot WAIT to read this book!!!

    1. You’re so welcome, Madi!!! Aww, absolutely!! ❤ (Gotcha!) Ohhh, that's right – thank you for reminding me because I almost forgot! 😅 I'll go send it to her!

  2. OOOOOOOOHHHHHH!!! (Mk, yeah, that cover … *we all sing the “Hallelujah” chorus, which would most likely result in my squeal-screaming incoherent noises because that’s what I do*) And I didn’t know there could be different versions of Snow Queen!
(Not that I’m even familiar with the story of the Snow Queen … Although it makes sense where Disney kicked down the door and introduced Elsa. 😂😂)

    1. YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (*enthusiastically joins in singing the “Hallelujah” chorus despite any off-keyness that results* 😂) I know, right? (Me either! Lol, yes… 😂 I actually haven’t even watched Frozen, even know I know most of the music from it.) Thank you for commenting, Amelia!!! ❤ (I've missed seeing you around! 😉 )

      1. Ahhhh, wait, are we on the same page? 😂😂😂 I was talking about the chorus from Handel’s “Messiah,” not the other “Hallelujah.” 😂😂
Huh, you haven’t watched Frozen??? *fist bump* Another girl who grew up in the past decade without being enamored with Elsa and Anna LOL!
(Okay, granted, I saw the first movie in 2019 and the second one in 2020. The sister theme in the first movie is strong. I’m a sucker for good sister relationships in books and movies. 😂 And the story is sad when you look at it as a teenager versus if you’re too young to understand the weird things of life, especially after “the scene that changed the girls’ lives” happened. The music though … ‘Tis popular; so no wonder you’ve heard it. 😂 This all being said, my family doesn’t do Disney anymore; so this is one of those “divorce the bad stuff from the good stuff.” Not my dad’s exact words, but you get what I mean. 😂😂😂🤣🤣
And thank you for listening to Amelia ramble about Frozen. 😂🤣)

You’re welcome!! Awww, you have? 😊😊🤗 I’ve been busy haha; so I don’t check many of the blog posts that come into my email. 😅😅😅 Thank you for thinking of me though! ❤

        1. Lol we are on the same page – Handel’s “Messiah,” not the other Hallelujah!! 😂

*fist bump* YES! (Though tbh, I’m so curious, I kinda want to watch it because of how popular it is, you know? Haha yeah, I get what you mean! We haven’t given up Disney altogether because there are some gems – and I’d be so sad if I could never watch Disney’s Narnia movies again. *sighs melodramatically* But we don’t have Disney+ or any of that stuff. 😉 )

Oh, no worries, I totally get that!!! Of course, girl! 🤗 ❤

          1. If you ever consciously catch me singing the other “Hallelujah,” please dump a frigid bucket of water over me. Just wear noise-canceling headphones while you do so. 🤣🤣

SHELTERED HOMESCHOOLERS UNITE!!! 🤣🤣🤣 Ahhhh, it’s probably so popular because of Elsa. The whole scene when she sings “Let It Go” is probably what makes everyone who watches it go, “Ooooooh.” (Also, she has magic. Which I can’t condone. However, if you were to again divorce the bad from the good and look at it from the perspective of a five-year-old viewer … Yeah. Who wouldn’t want their big sister to make all sorts of cool stuff with snow and ice??? Actually, that would be creepy in real life. 😅 But Elsa just seems uber cool in the eyes of small children. 😅
AND THAT CLIMAX. Villain dude needs a high-five in the face with a chair.)
Hey, I get it! My dad still has some favorite movies that are from Disney. Although I’ve ne’er seen the Narnia movies from Disney … 😅

            ❤❤❤

            1. Okayyyy, I promise do that if I ever catch you singing it. 🤣

Ah, true!!! I have seen from clips from that scene LOL! (Hahaha yes, that would be creepy but very cool from a kid’s perspective!)

Wait, you’ve never seen the Disney Narnia movies? Wow!! 😀 Haha, they’re some of my favorite movies ever, though I know that Prince Caspian and The Voyage of the Dawn Treader stray from the original books. 😉
