Hello my friends! I got to interview Adara from Kaytlin Phillips’ World of Silence!!! I absolutely LOVE character interviews, so I hope you enjoy reading this as much as I did! 😀 Enjoy!
Adara Interview
How would you describe yourself?
Passionate about what I believe in, unwilling to give up even when someone tells me there is no possible way to win. I love defying the odds.
If you lived your life by one motto, what would it be?
For the hurting and the pained, for the suffering and the sick, I spread peace with every leap, with every step I bring hope!
What’s your greatest fear?
Failing. I don’t want to be a failure. Don’t want to let people down. Don’t want to lose those I love and hold dear.
What do you think about Fledge?
At first, I wasn’t really sure. Determined is definitely a word that describes him. In many ways we are a lot alike…we both want to do what is best. We both want to know we are loved, wanted, and worth something to someone. We both feel as if we constantly have to prove ourselves…so, I guess that’s why I kind of took to him after a while.
What’s one of your favorite memories?
The day Solar Flare decided to stay with me. I never thought anyone would choose to be around me, but for some reason she saw something in me and came back. We’ve never been apart since.
Do you get along with most people?
Ehhh, it’s a bit iffy. I can be….forward…blunt…rash, most definitely rash at times which gets me in a bit of trouble.
Can you tell us a little bit about your family?
I would if I could. I don’t remember my family. The Master Trainer said he rescued me from a burning village as a small child…he never found anyone who knew who I was, so he named me Adara and raised me. He and Drennan are the only family I’ve ever known.
If the whole world stopped to hear you speak, what would you say?
What wouldn’t I say? I have a thousand opinions that need to be voiced…but I guess the one I would want to say the most is… Never feel like you aren’t good enough as if you always have to prove yourself because it isn’t true.
What’s your greatest personality strength?
Hmmm, hard one. I’d like to say my tact but we all know I have none of that…I’m so very rash and passionate about the Cause…probably my deep understanding. I can relate with people on so many levels.
What are three things you love to do that always make you happy?
Flying Solar Flare, nothing compares to that. It’s majestic! Beautiful! Freeing!
Being with Drennan, he makes me feel safe…wanted.
And helping others. I loved to give back because I have been given so much.
What’s your favorite color and why?
Orange, because it’s bright and reminds me of Solar Flare and the blessing I have to be alive when fire should have consumed me.
About the book

Silence. Complete silence. That was all I heard.
Fledge Owenby is a deaf archer struggling to be seen for his potential instead of his disability. When forgotten and left behind during a dragon attack, he thinks it is the chance to prove himself that he has been waiting for. But who knew one trip out of the bunker would change everything?
Saved from evil dragons by a dragoness, Fledge wonders why she would help him and soon discovers how similar they are. He is deaf and she is without fire. Drawn together by a bond, not even he can understand, Fledge and Galexia are unwittingly pulled into adventure.
Betrayal of the highest level, deception, and a war that never should have been. Fledge must find a way to end it all while trying to be seen as the boy he is, instead of the disability he has.

Ooo, this was fun getting to know Adara! I think I remember in the book she was raised by the Master Trainer, but I didn’t realize he had rescued her from a burning village. So cool!

Haha, glad you enjoyed it! I think that may have been a tidbit of unnecessary information that got kicked out with Adara’s POV….sorry. lol…

Oh no problem. If it won’t fit in the book, then it won’t fit. Perhaps it can be used in a future story!
