My Review
If you want a quick, fast-paced read (for any age) that will make you laugh, this is the story for you, my friend!
The characters are hilariously larger than life, with vivid, memorable quirks. 😜
And the attention to detail in the world-building is epic – from the pelicans who talk lightning fast to the prince’s indoor outhouse – just little ironic, humorous things that make the whole thing come alive like a colorful storybook or a wild dream you happen to find yourself caught in.
Prince Chow Ming was a pompous little conniver and I quite enjoyed seeing him humiliated by that clever little fly, Ichabod. As for my favorite character, that would be Bob the Bookworm. The poor little guy was so relatable 🤣 (And the most noble character was General Jackson. *sobs*)
I look forward to the next installment in the Abougrugon Chronicles!
About Bree Pembrook!

Bree Pembrook is a crazy, teenage, Christian author with
too many works-in-progress and not enough time. When she isn’t banging her head against her desk in an effort to get her characters to talk to her, you can find her reading, hanging out with friends, listening to music, and hoarding chocolate, as she is not only a book stockpiler but a chocolate dragon as well. She can also be found in her unnatural habitat on her sometimes-neglected blog, laughsandliterature.wordpress.com.

About Ichabod Fly and the Great Newspaper Roundup
What happens when you spend too long in a bathtub? Nothing good. When Prince Chow Ming III is caught wrinkly-handed in his bathrobe by a nosy reporter after too lengthy a soak, it’s up to him to save his name and dignity… or what’s left of it. With the help of loyal assistants Mr. Grayson, Professor Cardamom, and Rutabaga HippHopp, the prince sets out on an epic quest to rid the country of the humiliating newspapers. Will he succeed? Or will he be doomed to have a muddied—or wrinkled—name forever?
