Title Reveal for Issabelle Perry’s Project: Believer! (Christian historical fiction)

First of all, if you’re not following the lovely author Issabelle Perry, what are you even doing with your life???

Because if you were, you’d know how exciting it is to finally be privy to the TITLE FOR THE UPCOMING NOVEL WE HAVE BEEN DESPERATELY WAITING FOR. 😭

She’s been teasing her Russian-set historical fiction for a while, and even just did a post sharing more details about it, including an AMAZING excerpt! Today I’m helping to reveal the official title of this project. First up, however, is the working blurb!

About the Book!

(Working) Blurb:

Maksim Lenkov is tired of his past haunting him. An ex-Bolshevik and supporter of the revolution over ten years earlier that toppled the Romanov dynasty, Maksm has never forgotten his guilt over not saving the tsar and his family—especially a certain beautiful grand duchess. Tatiana Romanova had stolen his heart before the Bolshviks took her life.

Maksim has spent the last ten years hunting down her killers to no avail and doing anything possible to resist Soviet rule. Which is why when a young, spunky British girl appears out of nowhere, claiming she has the Soviet secret police on her heels and needs help escaping the country, Maksim is compelled to help. Especially since she says to have information that would ruin the USSR’s push for influence on western Europe and, more importantly, information that connects to one Bolshevik whom Maksim knows well. A man who was there the night of Tatiana’s murder.

This could be his chance to finally avenge the Romanovs and find peace with his past. But is his new ally all she claims to be or could she be an informer for the secret police? When truth is a crime and the OGPU draws closer, how far will Maksim go to serve justice? Inspired by true events, [INSERT TITLE] is a gripping, page-turning novel that explores the power of hope in the midst of darkness and the strength of love over evil.

Are you ready now? *grins* Me too, my friend.

About the Author!

Issabelle Perry is a proud Jesus follower, an extroverted writer of historical fiction, and a homeschool graduate. When she’s not writing, you can find her dreaming of her own adventures, jamming to Skillet, or envisioning herself wielding a magnificent sword (but due to her clumsiness, let’s hope that never happens).

This self-proclaimed exclamation mark enthusiast can be found hanging at Teen Writers’ Nook, a community of young authors Issabelle co-founded in 2020. She is the author of May We Make Them Proud and an editor for the Imagine and Tell Me You Love Me anthologies. What she’s probably doing right now is fangirling about her favorite books to random people or scanning the pantries for chocolate.

DOESN’T THAT TITLE HIT HARD? Do you enjoy books set in Russia? (I personally LOVED Nadine Brandes’ Romanov!) Are you also obsessed with stories set in the early 1900s? Do you enjoy bittersweet, heavy, yet hopeful stories? Have you yet read Issabelle’s recently released Christian romance novelette, May We Make Them Proud?

  1. THANK YOU SOOOOOOOOOO MUCH SARAINA FOR HELPING ME REVEAL THE TITLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Seriously, your post is one of my favorites!!! I love your excitement!!! I am SO obsessed with books set in the early 1900s too!!! Do you have a favorite book in that time period? (I’m looking for recs!) I’m pretty sure I read that book, May We Make Them Proud. Wasn’t it that book that came out a couple of months ago by that crazy author? 😝

    1. GIRL YOU ARE SO WELCOME!!!!!!! <333 Awww, thank you!!! RIGHT? They're so fascinating! Oo, good question…the first ones that come to mind are Julie Lessman's Daughters of Boston and Winds of Change series, and Roseanna M. White's The Codebreakers series (I still need to read the third book in that series, but the first two are flat-out AMAZING). I know there are other beautiful stories I've read set in the early 1900s, I just can't remember specific titles. 🤪😆

You know what, I think so! The one and same book that made my entire day when I got it in the mail! 😉 😍
